Within the last month or so one of my hens laid an egg like that. I haven't opened it yet, but I would think it's just the white and no yolk.
Last year there was a period in the winter of no eggs at all. This year I am getting one every few days. I have eight hens which could lay eggs. One is a polish who is not much of an egg layer. And one is older, so I don't expect as much from her. On a good day I could get 7 eggs, which is plenty for us.
