I caught two opossums on calf manna. Go figure. Was too tired to go to the house to get my bait, had a little bit of calf manna left in my scoop, put some in each trap, said a prayer, and caught two opossums. Had to be the prayer that worked.
The best thing of all that works is KFC chicken bones with skin wired to the bait trip. I've caught woodchucks, fox, opossums, raccoons, skunks, and feral cats. One time I caught two raccoons in one trap on KFC. Speaking of cats, there is a little feral black kitten running around, way too little to be away from it's mother. I need to wire a bone with meat to a trap so I can catch it and take it to animal control.

I second that! thank you for posting.. I shared ti with my husband and I think we will be adding the tuna as the dead chipmunk/can of dog food has not worked yet...
But like i mentioned earlier, thats fine ..we built an extension to their coop and the last two nights we let them out to range for the last hour while we sit and keep watch ...
And as a treat .. I dumped out piles of the japanese beetle trap for them .. yummy! so they are still getting plenty of bugs.
