Re: [CHICKENS-101] help, sick girl

Did you bring her in so you can start some kind of intervention for her? By the time a bird shows signs of illness they are usually close to death.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] help, sick girl

Hello,

I have been gone for five days and I returned to find my australorp with drooping comb, thin looking, sitting in her nesting box with her beak chattering a bit and a bit of white on the side of her mouth. I haven't seen her poo yet and I'm not sure by morning I'll know which will be hers.

Someone suggested sour crop but her breath doesn't seem funny. No obvious egg stuck (I've had that with one of my girls before). What suggestions do y'all have? I'm worried!!
