I've live trapped fox, live trapped many fox, right up against my pens and barns. At first the DNR allowed me to relocate them to Seven Lakes State Park, Holly, MI. After I caught the 4th, they refused to let me move anymore. We had to shoot and bury them.
You have to wire the meat/bone to the bait trip, put the trap on a piece of wood the size of the trap, hose the trap down with well water after it is in place, dribble tuna water or oil on the bait and in front of the trap, and cover the top and 3 sides with weeds and branches.

What do you mean by "pen?" They are way to smart to trap.
