My husband was in the garden checking to see how much was left of his hot peppers and tomato plants. (My plants are in another pen.) In the rain we ended up moving 13 more plants into another chicken pen after preparing the soil. We took a third of it at an angle, tilled it, transplanted 13 of his plants in the rain from the garden. I used the point of the planting area for more squash for my silkies. We alos tilled part of their pen and rearrnaged their dust bathing shelter and shade shelters. (plywood and saw horses)
Wish you could have seen all my fluffy butt grays and poofy partridges running in and out of their door, coming back with even more silkie friends. They were chatting up a storm over the plants, tilled soil, and how wonderful they thought it was. Literally I could not get to the holes dug for the plants without shooing a silkie out of the way. I had to make them all go in and shut their window. I opened it when I was done at dusk. I wish I could see their little faces when they go out in the morning and realize they are fenced from it all. 0 :>):
