Mine can jump more than two feet, to the windowsills. Part of them can jump over their panel dividers too! I've watched them practice when they didn't know I was watching. Little short down covered legs flexing, jump, splat..hit the wall. flex...jump...splat...flex...jump..almost..catch the edge..splat. flex...jump...on the window sill..flex...flap..on the ground outside.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Silly silkie
Our little silkie pullet doesn't get that she's a silkie. She roosts with the other birds about 2 feet up. If there's no roost, like at fair, she balances on her feed or water dish. She jumps but doesn't flap her wings so she obviously realizes she can't fly. She's such a rambunctious little corker. She cracks me up. Do other peoples silkies do such craziness? Please share your stories.
