To be totally, completely anti-gun is just irrational. To choose not to exercise your Second Amendment rights is your choice and I can respect that, but to be against me choosing to exercise my Constitutionally protected rights is just wrong and goes totally against what this country stands for. A gun is just an object, or more specifically, a tool. Any object (or tool) can be used for good or for bad and it is only the user who can determine that.  On our farm, a .22 rifle is an invaluable tool. Just this week, it was used to eliminate one of the groundhogs that keeps digging holes on our barn bank. I eliminated an egg-sucking 'possum from one of the coops a week or so before. The rabbits and groundhogs that decimated our garden in June were taken care of with that tool.

I am a totally, completely anti-gun person. 
 
A few years ago I had 4 hens about 10 weeks old killed by a fox.  Two were gone, one was dead, one was fatally wounded and died about a week later.  A few night later, I hear a the chickens squawking - about 2 o'clock in the morning in the rain (of course) I grab my robe, run outside and there is a fox standing looking into one of the chicken coops.  I screamed, I ran at him - he ran a bit away and just turned around and sat there and looked right at me.  I went ballistic, I couldn't even find a freaking rock to throw at him, finally I just threw my flashlight at him.
 
Bottom line - as I was standing there in my impotent face off with this fox, I thought to myself - If I had a gun buddy you'd be dead. 
 
The first time in my life I've ever wished I had a gun.  This fox be-deviled us for a couple of years.  She/he hasn't been around for a while now.  Knock-wood.  And no - I didn't get  gun.
