I would mix the two feeds, not do a sudden switch. if you can find an 18% layer feed it would be better for your pullets. They still have some growing and filling out to do.

Got a question for the group. I have 12 pullets that will be 16 weeks old on August 4th. I have been feeding them 20% grower/finisher since they were 10 weeks old and planned on switching them to 16% layer rations at 18 weeks old when I would transfer them in with my older hens. I'm about out of the 20% and hate to buy another bag if I could start them on the 16% layer rations a week or two earlier?
