They were raised with my new born silkie chicks and think they are silkies. Eventaully they'll catch on and begin to act like welsummers. Meanwhile it has to be funny to watch them all try to crowd into the silkie nest boxes while your naked neck silkie thinks she is a welsummer and is nesting in welsummer nest boxes. She learned that one at your house. LOL!

I have Welsummers that were raised by Silkies. They are pullets and nest all together in one small nest box on the floor for Silkies. It's so funny because all three are all crammed into one box and it's just one huge mound of feathers as they bicker back and forth who has more room and to move over. I bet they go on like that all night as the big Wellies watch up on their perches.
