Hey Renee, Last year I had a teesny Bantum hen whose eggs didn't hatch after 4 weeks(poor girl!) I bought her 10 black Austrolorp chicks locally then removed her eggs(at night) and stuck those little ones under her in the nest. I placed her nest in a large cage with baby food and water and she raised every one of those kids! Within two weeks they had grown bigger than their "MOM"...A year later, they still hang out with the little one even though they are super huge, they still love their mom! She made it so easy no brooder or other worries and she showed them the ropes of chickenhood! Once they had feathers I let them in with the rest of the flock. TRY IT! She will be one happy momma!
