Re: [CHICKENS-101] Do chickens mourn=?UTF-8?B?Pw==?=

It has been studied to show chickens mourn the loss of a member of their family. And any change in a coop, adding or withdrawing a member, will cause hens to stop laying. Heck, mine quit if I move my chair 10" to the left.... picky hens.

[CHICKENS-101] Do chickens mourn?

My flock of Welsummers were laying eggs really well. Then out of the blue, their rooster died suddenly. The 11 hens still make those chicken sounds like they are busy and happy but, they all but one have stopped laying. They are still eating some but not drinking much water either and I make sure the water is fresh every day. I was just wondering if they are mourning their rooster's death. Any suggestions?
