Could you move your rabbit hutch into a garage (heated or unheated)?  I keep my chickens in a large pen in my garage in northern Wisconsin where the outdoor temperatures may get to -30 in the winter. If it is getting really cold outside, I plug in one of those oil filled radiant heaters next to the pen. I have gone through about 8 winters this way and have never had a bird get frostbite. I don't think the chickens are vocalizing because they are too cold. Chickens are just noisy in general. Remember, chickens are birds just like sparrows and grouse which spend the winter outdoors protected only by their feathers.
