With my new ducklings and chicks, I use an electric heating pad with a
waterproof surface. I wrap the heating pad good in an old towel and put
it in one half of the carrier, so that if they get too warm, they can
cool themselves off in another space, where they have their food and
water. I set the pad on three, then a week or two later, down to two,
then in another two weeks, set it down to one. I hang the rest of the
cord outside of the carrier. When they have their feathers, then I turn
off the heating pad. Change towels every day or two, depending on
number of chicks and how messy they are. Just be sure to wrap the
heating pad well enough so little feeties and tummies won't be burned.
Best wishes with your little ones!!!
