Thanks everyone! I do have a temp thingy on the side of the cage, and I don't think it's staying warm enough, it read 70 last night at midnight when they woke me first. They look like a little mosh pit at a punk rock concert with about the same decibels. I tried it without the white light and no change. I think tonight I'm going to try to move them into a 45 gal bin with some sort of lid and hopefully then the heat will stay in. It's been 45 deg in my living room last two mornings. Don't know the outside temp, but below freezing as I see ice.
They are on shavings, but thinking to add some soft hay also? Maybe that might help too. They are 2 weeks old, 26 Jumbo Cornish x, about the size of a potato. No garage, bummer! And no heat in the house at this time. Don't know what is wrong with the furnice, but need the landlord to fix.
And yes Pete, I thought about a few shots :) Couldn't decide on the gin or the shotgun, and in my twisted thinking at that hour the two merged for a second as a good idea. Lucky it was too cold to go looking for either :)
