| Hi Ruthie, where in Texas do you live? I'm Georgia and I'm down in Lower Alabama (LA) almost into Florida. So here's the deal. You can tell us ALL about your chickens and nobody's eyes will glaze over, and we won't be looking around to see if there is a better conversation elsewhere, because here, chickens are EVERYTHNG.  What breed or breeds do you have, do you raise chicks with hens, incubator them, or not home raise chicks at all. Buy from a hatchery? I get my chicks from Ideal in your state. I raise mostly Polish and Silkies with a smattering of other breeds.
