Fore sure. If I used barrels I'd have to weegie the 50# bags out of the car and into the barrels. Then scoop it into buckets to feed. By letting iit pour directly into the buckets from the back of the car, I've saved a lot of work. My car windows are all 'Florida tinted' (illegal in AL) so nobody knows I'm running around with bags of chicken feed in the back of my car.

its so much easier for me. i have to walk all the way to the back of the property which is over an acre walk and the buckets make it easier.
