Re: RE: [CHICKENS-101] cat food? (was Molting and wind eggs)

Shannon, Lavender Blueberi will be 18 in March.  His son died last week.  The week before he ran to my hands for help, but I couldn't save him.  His comb had started shrinking already and he was at his end of time.  I brought him in and hand fed him, petted him, and he passed away at the grand old age of a bit over 9.5 years.   He is one of the last of the 3 with 4-5inch long sex feathers and very very long down, from my pure UK lavenders.

Sue that sounds good to me ........ you are to be commended for having happy 10-12 year old hens !!
I think they answered your questions ....../p>

we ask them if they want to keep their pets on same food they eat at home ........ if so , bring it with them or they eat ours which is 80-90% of the time better than what they bring ./p>
Our show dogs eat Purina Pro Plan Select(salmon)(they also at times get beef , pork, eggs, chicken and etc) , for the kennel and ones not showing we use Sportsman Pride Premium and SportMix .

Give them old hens a thumbs up from me ,
Shannon
