I need to look more closely at chicken anatomy. So he ejects close to her vagina and she guides the sperm in, is that right? Fascinating; I have a couple of frizzle Pekins and their bottoms are more like feather dusters than anything else, I have to wonder how they manage to get pregnant!
I always thought the shaking as rather like her straightening her clothes afterwards :-) the real expanation is almost disappointing!

Another interesting fact is that the rooster does NOT have a male part. Something I just learned on another forum, that's why the female shakes after he mounts her, also the female can expel the sperm of one rooster if she likes another rooster more...lol
