Give it something to cuddle.  A small stuffed toy, maybe a soft blanket to snuggle into.  I have even put an old ticktock clock in with a chick and it seemed to sooth it.  Susan

Out of a dozen eggs that I set, only one baby hatched and it seems lonely and cries all the time. I don't have any other chicks close in age or a broody hen. How can I make this baby's life better?
