Re: [CHICKENS-101] Am I Crazy?

Not at all, I don't live in my motorhome, but it has a cage in the cab over for any chickens I might want to transport.  And if we were living in it, a couple of chickens would be included.

You will want to pull the dander and feed dust out of the air, and when I have chickens on the floor I use baby wipes to clean up after them.  I would get clean legged chickens, so you don't have poopy feet feathers to contend with.

Good luck getting your chickens and your project and keep us updated as progress is made.  I'm an Oregonian, so where are you staying?

I live in a 32ft 5th wheel trailer here on the Oregon coast. After doing a little research I decided to set up my unused back room for three laying hens. I wanted to get this in response to the new food bill. I predict that raw eggs will soon be banned by the Feds as raw milk and almonds are. All eggs will have to be pasturized. I am retired and have plenty of time to keep my "flock" happy and clean. Outdoor space is available but I plan to keep them inside most of the time. Any info would be appreciated such as the breed best for indoors. I like the big fluffy ones. I was called crazy for this ides but I don't think so. Too each his own. Hello and thanks
