Hello Arthur
It sounds like you need some Cochins or Orpington. Big and fluffy and gentle and able to withstand close confinement indoors better than some more active flighty breeds.

I wanted to get this in response to the new food bill. I predict that raw eggs will soon be banned by the Feds as raw milk and almonds are. All eggs will have to be pasturized. I am retired and have plenty of time to keep my "flock" happy and clean. Outdoor space is available but I plan to keep them inside most of the time. Any info would be appreciated such as the breed best for indoors. I like the big fluffy ones. I was called crazy for this ides but I don't think so. Too each his own. Hello and thanks
