[CHICKENS-101] Re: [Cathryn] Re: Am I Crazy?

Thanks cathryn. I just decided I was going to do this so I am writing these names down.I have a nearby rural friend that has lots of chickens. I will get with them and see what is available here. This part of oregon is very isolated so I don't know about availability. There are only about 25 thousand people in 100 miles of coast.

Silkies do not mind small quarters, are beautiful, and enjoy being pets.  So do seramas.  If you do not mind very small eggs seramas are very nice chickens. Some of the hybrid egg layers are docile and gentle-I'll have to look up which ones again. Like Eric said cochins and buff orphingtons  do not mind smaller spaces, but they both tend to go broody like silkies and seramas do.  There's several gentle breeds mentioned in the below sites.  The British site is my favorite.
