Thanks. I will have plenty of timeto keep things clean and I am very industrious at solving problems like that. I hope you are right about the banning of fresh eggs. If it happens it will be down the road awhile. I am afraid most people are uninformed about the consequnces of this food bill. I would advise everyone to research it and descde for your self...and prepare
About 1979 I flew helicopters in the Grand Canyon. I consider my adventure there and all those girls that worked and played one of the finest hours of my life.

Although I don't think you're crazy, I hope you aren't underestimating how much clean-up indoor chickens will take, including how much dust they can generate with their dander. They poop every 20 minutes on average, and the cecal droppings stink. I could never keep up with more than 1 house chicken, if that. However, there are quite a few people on this list who keep house chickens, so maybe it will work for you.
And I would be very surprised if fresh eggs were ever banned. I think there were worse problems with raw milk back before it all had to be pasteurized than we've ever had with raw eggs, despite the occasional salmonella outbreaks. Beef w/ e-coli is a worse problem, and I doubt raw beef will ever be banned.
