Deb, You are still giving your chickens what they need, animal protein and fats. I am getting ready to boil eggs too.

Terrance, here's a 'blurb' on what happens to dead animals at a rendering plant. I didn't watch the video!
But the main thing is, "Animal by-products" can mean a whole lot of different things to different people, depending on where their integrity lies. I can't stand the thought of eating eggs from a chicken who has just consumed a flea collar or a grand mixture of known cancer-causing drugs! So I try to be very careful about what I feed EVERYTHING on this place. I'm sure this will bring loud shouts and complaints, but one of my chickens favorite treats is when I bring them a big bowl of dog chow (all natural, organic, of course!) soaked in bacon fat. Sometimes I'll add cooked oatmeal or even eggs when I have too many. They wolf it down! Of course...I have to be careful with this concoction...some of my hens are begining to look like their human mommy and need to go on a diet!
