We use to live in Panama and had a turkey production business right in the middle of Balboa - we furnished fresh sliced turkey to the cruise ships and airlines. My dad hired guards which proved to be useless - they were "bought off". Then he had two german shepherds that were poisoned. Finally he took in our Macaws - they only loved HIM. That did it!!!! They would "walk" the outer fence at night. Snap off any fingers that dared to come over the fence. No one ever after that ever ever attempted their fate. From then on he would drive around with one of them all the time. Leave the car windows open - oooh so tempting. But NOT!!! He never had a problem.
