Thanks for the input. I can't imagine that a llama can fight several
stray dogs at once. They also probably don't repel the smaller preds
like raccoons and possums. In the city there are ordinances that
specify that pets must stay on the owner's property, either leashed,
fenced or taught. I guess that doesn't apply to more rural areas.
But a good dog is hard to come by. I'd think people would want them to
stay inside at night just for safety.
