> Well WE are just nuts about our Modern Game Bantams. They are so sweet, smart, and inquisitive and FUNNY! My husband and my daughter and I take GREAT pleasure in every one of our birds. They are all so special and different. We will sit in the pen with them for fairly long periods of time and hold each one for as long as he/she wants, and believe me, they ALL demand their daily 'snuggle! They will sleep in our arms, and it brings great peace to us. We use this time to discuss plans for the future, things that need to be done, etc, etc...the chickens jump on and off us and come and go as they please. It's a great exchange of energy. Every one of our chickens tolorates being 'cradled' like a baby, on it's back, while we stroke it's tummy...they streach their necks out and actually "snor"....it is beyond funny. People think we are SO nuts, but who cares. We get alot of teeny eggs, that's for sure! Chickens are more of a joy and healing for us....we have to BUY eggs and BUY chicken feed, but we have no health insurance and can't afford therapy, so the chickens pay their way!
