Re: [CHICKENS-101] Easter Eggers

When I got 3 americaunas almost 6 years ago now I wasn't sure what kind of producers they were supposed to be. Once they got laying I got one a day and about every other day I'd get 2 out of the 3 hens. I don't think yours are doing too bad for youngsters this time of year. They should improve this spring. Now I mixed mine with RIR roo and the "olive egger" offspring of that cross lay an egg a day each.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Easter Eggers

I have a lot of fuzzy mutt chickens that I hatched from a lady down the road, and I bought 3 Easter Eggers. All of the chickens are 9 months old I have 19 hens and get an average of 12-14 eggs aday the thing I'm concerned about is that I only get 1 or 2 green eggs every 3 days. I thought EEers were good producers are they or do I just have some bad hens.

Thanks

Fran
