[CHICKENS-101] (unknown)

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knew if a chicken could pass the white of an egg out of her. In other words one of my buff Orps was sitting on two eggs today, one of which could have been hers. When I collected the eggs there was a mass of clear egg white consistency next two the two eggs. Is this an immature egg without the yolk and shell?? All my hens are 7 mos old and have been laying consistently since Sept. We only ever had 2 very soft shelled, very small eggs. The eggs before that an since have been just fine, gradually getting larger and the shells are not fragile. I grind up their own egg shells and give that to them instead of oyster shells. Is this OK? Thanks in advance! Bonnie
