Re: [CHICKENS-101] Easter Eggers

You're doing good in the egg dept., compared to me, lol I get about that many from 25 young hens, +7 old hens (but I don't think my old ones are laying honestly). 5 of those 25 are EE's and I get 1-2 blue eggs a day, on occasion, none, but generally 1-2. I'm totally new to chickens and these are my first, raised up from day old chicks hens. But I read online before I bought the EE's that they lay 2-3 times a week? So not totally wonderful for the egg production compared to some other breeds. But that is about all I can offer on it, lol.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Easter Eggers

I have a lot of fuzzy mutt chickens that I hatched from a lady down the road, and I bought 3 Easter Eggers. All of the chickens are 9 months old I have 19 hens and get an average of 12-14 eggs aday the thing I'm concerned about is that I only get 1 or 2 green eggs every 3 days. I thought EEers were good producers are they or do I just have some bad hens.

Thanks

Fran
