So someone has offered me 5 hens. This woman has too many and wants to thin out her flock. I don't know what they are yet, or just how old they are. But I need to know some things before even those questions.
I have 2 6 month olds, a buff Orpington, and a black Silkie. Also, 4 2 month olds, Red Stars and EE's. They all live together and get along great. If I were to take these on, how would I do it? This time of year I have no way of seperating them to help them to socialize, get used to each other. I have one coop and run and we are already in the middle of a Nor'easter her in MA. As I write I'm realizing this probably isn't a good idea, until spring, anyway.
Any thoughts?
Diana
