Marla,Your neighbor must trust you to tell you she is going to be gone for a week. Might be a good time to sneak a couple of goslings into your yard. LOL!

I doctored 4 rescue Toulouse geese many years ago that eventually went to a family with a custom made pond and barns landscaped around it. These 4 were not friendly at ll to people we had over and I had to keep them locked up. They followed me around chatting while I got their feed and the hose to change their water. They were noisy. Very affectionate geese to me. I have no idea if they were the norm or not, for not tolerating other people, they wanted me or no one while being nursed back to health.

Cathryn, my fave growing up was the toulouse but the sebastopols are so pretty I have been considering them. Ro, other than canada geese none of the geese we've ever had flew so I wasn't worried about them getting into her yard. My major worry is excessive noise. I don't think she could complain about anything else. I keep the place neat and clean, she's never complained about the noise from all our other animals but geese are louder. Our history with this neighbor is long and varied but a lot of the problems seem to stem with the bad dealings she had with my grandpa as her neighbor.
I was just out working on the fence and she came over to tell me that it's looking nice over here. Then asked me to keep an eye on her place for the week while she's helping her sister after surgery.
