We only get females for they don't have the hankering for traveling like the males do, even if they are castrated. They each stake out a terriority on the property. Sleep most during the day and boy are they awake all night. And she is so right, these dogs must be HANDLED a lot as puppies. Had a "ranch hand" stay in a trailer on the other side of the property. Unsaid things happened, called the police. When they came out, got out of their cars, they all pointed at the dogs and said "let them go get the guy in the bramble". They did immediately. The bears circle around the outskirts of the property and have no more problems with the big cats.
