[CHICKENS-101] Re: Marlene--Livestock Guard Dogs

Hi , Let me put in my experience with English Shepherds.. I now own a German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd and two English shepherds. Both of the English and the Aussie are GREAT farm dogs. Good with kitties, chickens(found to be so very intreging)horses and varmit control(moles, mice, coons and opposums AND the neighbors dogs). The girls weigh 50 and 65 lbs and have a coat that is thick and really dries out pretty dirt less. The stay in the house with us and are great co-pilots while in the pick-up. Both my husband and I love them all dearly but are most satisfied with the ENGLISH SHEPHERD for use on our farm. Check them out here. http://www.englishshepherd.org/breed-info.html Kathy Tomlinson
