Hi-My name is Deb and I live in Northern Minnesota-up by the Canadian border in a really rural area. My hubby and I have 20 hens (various breeds) and one rooster. Two tolouse geese, 4 Khaki, 3 blue swedish and 3 fawn indian runner ducks. We are thinking about goats next primarily for milk. I have been lurking here for a few months now and avidly read all the e-mails from this group. Thank you to all, we have learned alot! I have a question. One of our aracuanas had prolapsed this morning. I used prep H to poke it back inside and then patted some on the outside. The website I got this info from to do this for her said to give soluble antibitics for 4-5 days. I don't know what this means really and which kind of antibiotic to try to get from the local vet. We have one small animal vet here, the next closest vet is 95 miles away. I am open to getting an antibiotic over the internet tho. we shop a lot on-line, as we are very rural and have few options for things we want or need. Can anyone help with thier thoughts on antibiotics? Thanks in advance.
