Said in my very Paul Revere voice, of course!
I told you one of our adult pairs of
They are ferociously protective, too! Such good
I put an ad on Craig’s List and sold 5 today! Yee haw! I need to put more ads on the list………I have 8 three week old Guineas not spoken for and then an additional 11 of the natural born ones.
My dh is making another pen……..an all purpose pen.8 x 8 x6, totally wired with a nice man door to walk in. We’ll put a box in there for locking up at night, but I’ll be able to use the pen for whatever we need to pen up. Chickens, guineas, turkeys, WHATEVER!!!! Yay. I still think the 10 x10 dog run for $249 was a pretty good deal, but I’d still have to add wire to the sides and top since it was chain link and we know those little coon and possum fingers can reach right in and grab our little fowl friends by the head. Can’t take those chances with my wee ones.
It is hot as blazes here……..too hot for all of us. Chickens are hot, alpacas are hot, dogs are hot, etc. Cats are sleeping under bushes, cars, etc. I put a decent shade cloth over Crackers and Slinky’s new coop and everyone loves it.
Our Game chicks number 13, now. We lost the smallest one and I am pretty sure it’s match was the first one we lost. I believe it was an OE, not a Modern. Short legs. But, sadly missed, nonetheless.
Gina, I saved the pic of your Modern…….the black and white……what color do they call that? He is just fabulous!
Happy Memorial Day everyone and hope you are having a nice day. I did not go to Arlington this morning to place flowers on my parents’ grave……….I think they’d be ok with that—so hot and so much traffic and the crowds are Arlington National Cemetery are high on Memorial Day. We may have run into President Obama, but it was still too hot for me.
