Possible I can house him for short periods of time at the historic farm down the block... (but after losing several hens and 8 ducks to racoons, the historical society has said they don't want anything to do w chickens... a shame, they've had chickens, and roosters, for years there.)
Another possibility is send the girls to meet him... but I think they'd be more comfortable in their own coop.
Wondering if I can keep him in the basement at night/when I'm not home... but somehow think that's more likely to result in a fine if the town does come calling... short term should be OK though.
Guess I should be more worried right now about setting up the brooder for chicks arriving in a couple weeks. :)
