I know the feeling. Friends have given me about 7 dozen eggs to hatch this spring! I have done 2 hatches and have eggs in the bator now. Duck eggs with go in the bator next, also from a friend that has too many to hatch. Hatching eggs is just plain addicting! So far, I haven't ordered any chicks or purchased any locally.
They do keep you busy, don't they? Our poultry club has done hatches at 3 elementary schools so far this year and it has really been fun.

Went to get feed this morning. I had to restrain myself from coming home with more than feed. They still had chicks and ducklings. Two weeks ago I went to pick up feed and my order of a dozen Black Star. Also came home with 6 additional Buttercups.
My last order from Ideal got here Fri. Since I only ordered 12 they were kind enough to send me 13 free chicks that I have no clue what they are. With the little note of "males added for warmth." They are in my bathroom. I have the BS and Cups in a cage on my puter desk. And got a message from a friend yesterday, I have chicks for you!
This is what happens when I decided last year to downsize!
