Well my little rounders are now about a month old and they've outgrown their nursery. with the warmer weather, I decided that it was time to move them out to chickenland. Talk about pleasant surprises. Last night the chickbox which is a wire enclosure with a low openning, was moved out to the chicken house. the doorway to the chickbox is large enough to allow the little ones to escape if the grownups start to play too rough yet too small to allow most of the adults from entering.
I've been keeping an eye on things but so far, aside from a minor amount of apprehension, everyone is getting along. I watched as the big girls scratched and fed along side the smaller hens. Lil Miss appears to have adopted a few.
Will continue to watch. Cautionously optimistic...
