So I have the same question about putting hen with chicks with the other hens. I have a hen setting eggs right now in the coop so the others will kill the babies!!!! What do I do with them, just put them in a seperate place is the only answer? I do have a rabbit hatch and wire dog crates but the babies can go through so I would have to put hardware cloth around that hmmmm what to do.
Also I have a bumble footed hen that really I don't know how I would so the surgery and the vet is most likely shy high.
