[CHICKENS-101] Re: Help: Psycho hen with chicks

Can you make a separate coop for her and her babies to stay in for a while, comfortably? Then just supervise her outings with the rest of the flock here and there, very carefully. Dynamics are always changing. Just have to be patient and persistent... and always supervise until it's very clear that no one is going to get hurt.

The other hens ignore the chicks, the rooster is calm and respectful. The 4th mom has issues. She was psycho before becoming a mom, a bully, roosting away from the flock. The flock now enjoys that she's segregated in a pen with her chicks. When I try to let her free, she's attacked by the rooster and by the hens, but they don't touch her chicks. I don't think more time separated from the flock will help her but I don't want her to be injured either, or her chicks loose without protection while she's attacked. I sure could use some advice.
