Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Prolific layers
I'm just wondering, since some of my Modern Game hens are nearly 7 years old and still laying. Not prolifically, of course, but still laying an egg here nd there. Scares me to death, actually! At their age, I worry so much about egg binding. But I thought a hen only has so many eggs she can lay in a lifetime, so if she's pelting them out evey day, I just wonder how long she can keep this up?
