Kristen, Do you have people b complex tablets? If not is there a store near you? The children's vitamins with minerals including selenium if you can find one supply vitamins and trace minerals. Poultry vitamins won't provide this. I read on a poultry supply business site that it is 1/4 tsp per gallon based on the directions you just read to me. What ever caused your hen to go down is there to affect the other hens and for some reason didn't, at least not to the point where your chickens would let on. I'd get the barn chickens on the poultry vitamins soon and do so for a week, then 3 days a week on a schedule.
If the store is not close to you, do you have human adult vitamins you can grind/smash up,and b complex tablets or capsules? You really need the b too.

I don't have childrens vitamins but I have Vitamins & Electrolytes "Plus" - water soluable. It's a powder form, meant for poultry and other animals. No idea how much to give though as the quantities are huge! It says 4 oz for 128 gallons. It's made by AgriLabs.
thank you,
