Renee, It is your neighbor's responsibility to keep their rooster home, off your property and away from your flock. You need to tell them so. "Hey, I have a problem and need you to solve it..."
They are lucky I am not the neighbor they'd be asked once to keep their rooster home then he'd be shot and buried. Stray poultry is a threat to my bio security.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Unwanted rooster keeps coming around
Looking for ideas. My neighbors rooster has decided to take over my flock. Not sure why, he has his own gang. Now 5 days in a row he's coming up the hill (we live about 100 yards apart) and starts crowing. I've chased him off so many times, he now runs at the sound of the front door slamming. Any ideas for getting the message across to the rooster not to come back? This 4am crowing just doesn't do anything for my normal good mood. I had some rather evil ideas, but really like my neighbors and don't want to harm the relationship. We both free range. Been here 3 years and this is a first situation like this.
