[CHICKENS-101] paralyzed leg

 

Hello everyone-
I'm hoping to get some help. I went to my coop yesterday and found my hen on the floor. She has completely lost the ability to use her hind leg. She can stand on the other, but it seems that tires her and she is mostly laying on her side. I've placed her near food and water and she is eating and drinking. She is a free range hen. I've lost some of her coop mates to a racoon recently so I'm not sure if stress could cause something like this? Could she be egg bound? She has not laid an egg in two or three days.

Any insight or help would be appreciated.
