Thinking of protein--Someone gave my husband 5 cans of a powdered French vanilla protein supplement (total of 12 1/2 pounds!!) made to be mixed in milk He's determined the hens ought to have it--and promptly mixed a batch into a paste/slurry, which they went absolutely nuts over. (So did the cat.)
Is there anything I should check for that hens shouldn't have? The ingredients look fairly harmless (I suppose I'll have to make sure DH doesn't give them an overdose, though!)
I wonder if they like the stuff better than meal worms...
