I have 2 Americuna's that are on the path to their destruction. They have found that they can get to the top of the fence and go in search of greener pastures.
I was out in search of doggie jewels and the Americunas were up to their usual mischief. I heard the dogs and Oh No they had her on the ground. Feathers everywhere. I immediately picked her up. Thought she was dead. Decided she needed to come in the house for some R & R. Asked Richard to hold her while I brought the cage in.
Well, no sooner do I get in the door when Richard starts hollering -- she has miraculously revived and wanted out.
I picked her up, cuddled her and told her she was a very fortunate hen. As I put her outside in the run, I noticed her partner in crime was missing.
Went searching. This little lady went over the other side of the fence and the hens there were visibly upset with her. I got a fishing net to get her, but she was slick. She ran and was cornered and I picked her up.
So far it has been 2 days and they haven't wandered off. Hopefully, their days of mischievousness are over.
These ladies took a toll on me -- I don't want to lose them.
