Half a liter/16.9 oz is an average for a hen that is laying eggs. He will drink way less unless it is hot out or he has an illness that makes him consume too much water. If you can get that much into him without him regurgitating it and getting it into his lungs that is good.

Well from what I read the minium intake for a chicken per day of water is .5 liters. Well I got 120 ml in him, which 1000 ml's equal a liter. So I wasn't even close to a half a liter.
