Donna,I lifted him off the roost and his head just drooped. Today, we have him in the house - hand feeding him some water through a very small syringe. He can't seem to lift his head. He can stand up on his own, but has no control of his head.if he will eat, continue supportive care. Give him some vitamin supplement that has B-vitamins in it because stress can increase the need for vitamins. You may want to give him some aspirin or if you have Rimadyl (for dogs) give a little of that. Those are anti-inflammatories and he may have his neck bruised and pinching some nerve. I wouldn't give up hope for recovery. Also really feel all over his neck and body to see if you feel any lumps or wounds, puncture wounds often don't cause immediate problems, you may see symptoms after a few days when it gets abscessed.Marlene
