Your problem is that your chickens have to go in pecking order, and who is the most curious. If the tunnel were wider so your hens could walk 3-4 abreast, they'd accept it quicker than are. Think about the social hierarchy/pecking order of chickens and a space where they can only walk behind one another.
Higher pecking order chickens can keep lower chickens from exiting and entering too. While the tunnel is a good idea, it doesn't accommodate their social and flock structure.
That is your problem more than it is something new.

Here's the Chunnel that gets the chickens from the chicken apartment to the outside of the barn. Out that little hole is a fenced chicken yard. I need to take pictures of that. But right now we are waiting for ALL the chickens to go out that hole and into the sunshine. This is the second day and I'd say about 15 at a time will be outside. That's 15 out of 80 chickens. Hopefully tomorrow more will take to the sunshine and fresh air and a nice mowed grass to play on. Any ideas on how to get them all out there? My plan was to feed less chick crumbles as they get outside more to eat bugs and weeds and stuff.
